5 Videos for Online Success

By Mikael | 300 views

Now you know that I am a big fan of using leverage to increase my outcome but also because I like that things happen without me doing much (if anything) once things are set up.

Now I could use a lot of words to talk about what is important when you want to be successful online but instead I am going to use leverage in the form of directing you to a series of 5 videos that will explain some key elements that you MUST know.

The videos will take a total of 23 minutes and 1 second to watch. Be sure to watch them in the right order.

Hi Mikael,

Great videos and so in line with my course! I couldn’t agree more with him!

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Nicolas, I’m glad you liked them. I thought that they were cool and I don’t know why I haven’t seen them before as I have long been a fan of John Jonas. Anyhow I hope that more people will see them and think about what he is saying.

Hi Mikael,

I just watched the videos. John shared some good points out there.
But I have a question which I want to ask you.
John says that you have to test if the product you are offering on a website will be converting into sales. The best way to test it is Adwords. I agree here with John. But what I want to ask is if I want to make money through Adsense can I check if people will click my adsense through Adwords? My feeling is that you can see a direct sale when you use affiliate marketing.

Thanks,
Ion

Great question Ion.

John is, as you mention, talking about selling products as either an affiliate or your own products.

As for Adsense I think you might be able to test it through Adwords but I must admit that it is never something that I have done.

I think testing if Adsens brings you money is placing the ads on different parts of the page and test it for periods of time and see when you had the most clicks and choose the best position of the ads.
I can see testing Adsense this way. Do you have some other suggetions?

Ion

Hi Ion,

That is definitely part of it. I’ve written several posts about Adsense. You can find them here: http://retirerichroadmap.com/blog/category/adsense/

Well actually, you still could test your ads through Adwords, just like it was in the GoogleCash time…

The difference here and the way John is referring to when it comes to use Adwords at first is not so much to make instant profit, but rather to identify the marketability of whatever it is that you “sell”.

The benefit here about Adwords is that it will bring you instant traffic. So in essence (even if it’s not profitable) through Adwords, you could send targeted traffic directly to your Adsense pages.

At this point, if people don’t click on your ads then you know something is not right and there’s no point wasting months of SEO because it’s not working.

On the other hand, if you see people clicking through your ads (again, even if your Adwords cost is higher), this will tells you that there’s viability here and that it’s worth your SEO time.

Hi Mikael

I know videos etc are the new in thing to have on blogs but unfortunately my bandwidth is not up to watching them – moan, groan! I don’t suppose you have a transcript or summary of the key points do you?

Many thanks

Chloe

Very good point Nicolas. I’m still not sure that is a route I would choose but I also feel that I have a good sense of what will work and what won’t when it comes to adsense.

@Chole, unfortunately not. The videos aren’t mine and I don’t recall having seen John creating a transcript of them.

I agree that through Adwords you can check if people click on your adds.
It means that the site has to have already good content on it, so that the ads will be related to what the website is all about.
So in order to check if you can “sell” with Adsens, you have to write good content first.
Right?

Hi Ion,

Well you can say it like that yes ;)

Actually Ion, with or without Adsense, writing good content is always expected. ;)
