How to Get More Done in a Lot Less Time

Time moves fast - make the most of itImagine that you are starting your fifth, sixth or tenth website. You business is growing and you are seeing you monthly income from your websites climbing each and every month. It is a nice thought isn’t it?

As you surely already know a website is made up of content and preferably high quality content that will have your readers come back for more. As a general rule you can assume that the more content you have on your website the more traffic you are going to get because there will be a lot more content that people can find when searching online.

Picture writing one quality article for your first blog… It probably took you somewhere between 1 – 2 hours of writing and editing or maybe even more. Every beginning has its challenges and over time you have probably learned how you can write great articles in a lot less time and you might even be able to get some decent quality out in 30 minutes or less.

With one website and one article per day that will be 30 minutes per day that you will need to spend. On top of that you will want to promote your website but let’s not go there just yet.

Now that you see the first $$ come rolling in you want to start a second website and again you’ll need to spend +30 minutes a day writing articles to grow your site.

…Fast forward to today and your website number 10. You are now spending 5 hours a day just writing articles and then you will need to promote it afterwards (and that can easily take you twice the time).

Was that what you dreamt of when you started out making money online? Did you want to write content for 10-15 hours a day, 7 days a week? I’m guessing that it wasn’t your dream and I can surely relate because it definitely wasn’t mine either.

So what are your options?

Well for starters you can see if you can become a faster writer. Maybe you can get to a point where you’ll only need to spend 20 minutes per article but at some point you’ll not be able to go any faster.

Writing robotAnother option is to reduce the quality of your articles but you probably already know that it might not be the best way to go if you’re still looking to expand each of the websites you have.

Just like everyone else your day has only 24 hours and even if you can get away with only sleeping for 4 hours per night you’ll still have limited time per day.

There is however a way to create more time and you have probably already heard of it…

How to create more time in your business

The way to create more time in your online business and a way to reduce the time that you are spending yourself is to start leveraging other peoples time.

Everyone has 24 hours a day and if you can start borrowing (paying for) other people’s time then you are on the road to unlimited wealth and time freedom if you do it right.

Outsourcing the work

If you’re still reading then you are probably already making money from your websites but you’re struggling because you don’t have enough time.

Have you ever heard of places like Elance, Odesk, Rentacoder, Guru and similar services? These are online market places that will let people bid on your projects.

As a guideline you’ll be able to find writers doing a very decent job for $8 – $15 per article. If you don’t believe that anyone can write articles as good as you then write the articles for your own sites and use the articles that other people write to promote your site doing e.g. article marketing. That would still free up maybe 5-10 hours per day that you can spend doing other stuff.

Copy what I have done and improve your business by 160 hours a month

I’ve recently hired a full time writer to help me out in my business and it is the best investment that I have ever made. Not only can she write brilliant articles on topics that I know little about but she is also fast and innovative.

And that is not even all… the best part is that I INSTANTLY got another 160 hours of work a month into my business. I don’t know about you but in my little business 160 hours will make a huge difference.

Imagine what you can do if you hire 2… 3 or 4 people all working full time? The sky is the limit and when everything starts rolling you can even hire someone to manage the others leaving you to only collect the paycheck and enjoy your free time.

If you think outsourcing might be something for you then I would recommend that you use Google to search for “VA” or “Virtual Assistant”. There are lots of ways to do this but before paying anyone I would recommend that you do a decent due diligence because you will come across places that will sell you these services at too high a price and that is definitely not what you want.

After two failed attempts at hiring a writer, I think I finally found one who can do what I’m looking for, so I know exactly where you’re coming from. It can be such a load off your shoulders knowing that someone is doing something for you at an affordable rate.

I’m interested in hearing more about your VA. I know of someone else who has done that and they seem pleased as well. Not sure if I’m there yet, but definitely a possibility.

Are you hiring a writer on a project by project basis or?

Since I only just hired my VA I am still not at the point where she can do everything and I will still need to teach her how I want things done but it is still a huge advantage instead of doing it myself.

And the training videos I’m recording can be reused when I hire new writers ;)

Yeah, right now it’s a project-by-project basis. Starting out slow and within budget for now.

That is the best way to start off in order to learn how to do things. I did that myself when I started out.
