How to Make Money from Adsense
Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed to make sure you don't miss a thing on RetireRichRoadmap.com!
In the past few days I have been focusing on the importance of planning your retirement. Planning is an important part of reaching whatever goal you’re trying to reach but yet most people don’t. Sometimes I am surprised to see that people are spending weeks on planning their summer vacation but when it comes to planning their life most haven’t done anything. As one of my friends said to me today (it was a quote from a book if I’m not mistaken): “If your life was a movie would you watch it?”
For majority of people I am certain that the answer would be “no” and personally I am not sure that I am at a point where I would want to watch a movie of my life. But at least I am working on making it so damn interesting that it would be worth watching as a movie. So what has this got to do with making money from Adsense you might ask?
Well it hasn’t really got anything to do with it but if you want to make a plan for making an additional income or even a plan that will make you richer than most people, then Adsense is a valid way to do this. I know that you can find tons of marketers that argue that you can’t make money with Adsense or that will tell you that you can make a lot more money by doing a lot of other stuff but so what?
It is a fact that you can make good money with Google’s Adsense program and that is all you need to know. Adsense has the benefit of being extremely easy to setup and get going with so it is a great place to start. When you’re making $5,000 or $10,000 a month they you’ll have the freedom to try other things out because you’ll no longer depend on your monthly paycheck.
Did you know that there are people making millions every single year from Google Adsense alone? I don’t know about you but a couple of millions a year would be nice to start off with don’t you think? So don’t come telling me that you can’t make money from Adsense because you definitely can. It is just a matter of following a plan and keep working it consistently till you reach your goal. But hey… you’ll need that plan.
For advanced Adsense publishers I will recommend that you take a look at Grizzly’s blog on making money online. If you’re new I suggest that you save it as a favorite and return to it in a couple of months. It might be a little overwhelming to start off with.
In reality there isn’t really all that much you need to know on how to make money from Adsense. What you need is an account, a website, some content and some traffic. That is it. If you get enough traffic some of the people will click the ads, you’ll make money from it and everyone is happy.
Would you want to watch a movie about how you became a millionaire from Google Adsense income? I surely would want to watch it and I know of plenty of other people that would want to see it also. But in closing let me ask you this question: Have you made a plan for your life? And if you haven’t then why not?

It also helps to play around with the different adsense ads as well as where you place it on your blog. Putting it somewhere at the bottom of the sidebar will not earn you much at all.
Another tip is to try an blend the ad with the surroundings but not too much as then you lose it all together.

Yes that is definitely an important part of it. However testing is always required as something might work on one site but not on another so you’ll always have to test.
I recently wrote a post about getting a higher payout per Adsense click: http://retirerichroadmap.com/blog/make-more-money-with-each-adsense-click/ which is also something that one should consider.

Testing is definitely the key, and it takes time, something I have little of. Lucky for me I did a theme change which caused me to try ads in places I hadn’t tried before and it increased my Adsense by 150%

I had almost the same experience. I change a template on one of my sites and had an instant increase of 300%. I felt kinda stupid after that

Test test test and more testing!
And then, if you keep the site, test again!
I revisted a year old site and with tweaking managed to get an extra 1% CTR just from a small change!

Hi Chris. Welcome to the site. It is always a pleasure to see new faces. Testing is so vital and yet so few people are actually doing it.
Increasing the CTR by 1% can be a huge increase. If you average around 5-10% CTR then that 1% would be a 10-20% increase in pure profit.

I just have to say thanks for linking to Grizzly’s site. I had come across his site before and since then I have been trying to remember the name. This time I will bookmark it!
For the record…I wouldn’t watch a movie about my life, either.
