If you know a little about Google Adsense or if you have already tried to install it on one of your websites, you are probably aware of the fact that some clicks will pay you more than others. Google rewards you for sending visitors to the companies that advertise through Google’s system based on the quality of the traffic you are sending.
By quality is meant how the people that are clicking your ads are behaving. If they behave in a favorable manor like signing up for a newsletter or actually purchasing something then those visitors are more valuable to the advertiser and therefore to Google and in the end to you.
But if the traffic you are sending is of a poor quality and are not converting or not behaving in a favorable way (according to the Google measures it) then you will not get much money per click. You can scratch your head all you want but it’ll not make much difference. Luckily there are ways to increase the likelihood of your visitors clicking the Adsense ads and being of a “high quality” in the eyes of Google, but I’ll cover that in another future post as that will be a rather long and difficult thing to explain. It is not hard but you need to know it to be thinking about it.
Instead I want to use this post to show you what not to do if you want to make more money with each Adsense click and the reason for this post came about when I was searching for the most popular Adsense ebooks available. I’m not going to name any names but I’ll show you a screen dump presented on one of the most popular sales pages for such an ebook.

The screenshot below is from a very popular book on how to make money with Adsense. I’ve read the book and it is great and has lots of valuable information but the main problem with it is that it is basing its income on quantity and not quality.
Getting that much traffic per day is something very few people do and if you are a beginner at this game you should not even try it. It can be done but it’ll take you years and years (which I am pretty sure is the case for the site above – he has probably been working on it for 6-8 years).
Higher Adsense Dollar Clicks
The screenshot below is taken from one of my sites and even though this site is not getting nearly the same amount of clicks per day as the one above the price per click is 400% higher. Imagine when the traffic will reach the same level as the site above….
As you can see this picture is based more on quality than on quantity when compared to the site above. I am not saying that one thing is right and the other isn’t because both can work and make you money. What I am saying is that my experience tells me that focusing on providing quality clicks instead of quantity clicks will last longer and will make you more money with Adsense advertising and it will also provide a lot more value to the people and companies that are actually paying for all of this.

Awesome stats dude, what niche is that in?
I’m attempting something similar by targetting a high payout niche… well higher than my other sites, I’ll hopefully find out the results in a couple of months!

It is in a pet related niche which means that the payout isn’t really THAT high. I have several other sites with a far higher payout per click.

Ahh thats cool, I have a few pet related niches pencilled out that I’m going to look at once I have time. Its always lack of time that’s the problem
