Why Didn’t You Take Action?
I recently wrote a post about how I suggest that you start if you want to make money with Google Adsense. The post was made because of a request I got but I am sure that there are a lot of people that are having trouble making money online and my guess is that most are trying to do it with Adsense.
Now I know that Adsense is not for everyone, but I would like to share some shocking stats with you in this post that will show you how few that actually DO and how many that only watch.
As you can see in the picture above there are about 61 unique people that have seen the article so far. Now that is not much but it is enough to make some conclusions.
From this next picture you can see how many of these 61 people that actually clicked the links I posted in the article.
36 unique people made their way over to membership site, which is about 59%. From a conversion point of view this is very impressive but I am more focused on the 41% that didn’t click. Seriously! If you are struggling then why didn’t you click?
Next the stats show that 3 out of 36 (a mere 8%) actually took action. Now some claimed that they didn’t like the salespage, some forgot, some thought that spending $1 lousy dollar was too much etc. etc.
That means that 33 people didn’t do anything except waste their time.
Why do you think that just 5% of the world’s population has 90% of the wealth?
I can tell you that one reason is that they take action to get ahead. They get what they get because they take consistent action towards it.
Now I am not going to tell you what to do and not do and to the 3 of you that did take action I congratulate you. You are now on the road to greater online success using Google Adsense.
If you are new to this blog or if you meant to take action when you read the last post (but didn’t) then here is your chance: Learn To Make Adsense Money – Highly Recommended
To Your Success,

Hey Mikael its true due to the recessionary factor many people are looking forward to online business as an option for earning money. And i think its a great idea,It surely involves lot of work but as you said taking action is the only way. I read your recommended post and found it very informative and helpful.

Hi Mike,
Well I am sure that the crisis have had more people looking for a “way out” but I also know that these stats have been like this (always). So many people are wishing for things to get better but as soon as they find out that they will need to actually take action they stop
Sad but true.

Hey mikael , Its very important to pursue the people to take action, if only 3 people are converting in to sales then i would say that landing page was not good enough to convey the message , Also one should keep on experimenting with various landing pages and keywords , you don’t know what would work .
But On the top , I completely agree with you that one should take action to start

Hi Gagan, there is no doubt that their landing page sucks but to be fair they don’t need a better landing page. They sell solely on word of mouth advertising and since their members are seeing great results (when they follow the advice given), the number of members will only increase.
The reason I wrote this post is that I am hoping to make someone take action.
I know that only a small part will ever take action but if I could influence just one more that would be great.

Mikael, there is one factor which i found really clear from the stats and that is, recession has really hit a high time and as a result you have this online “way out” strategy that peoples been following.
But amid this crowd there are some people who are eager to make money online but they don’t know the resources to do so. On the other hand they want to do so without spending a penny, hence those 33% did nothing except crawling over the post.

Hello Mikael, I agree with you, but due to lots of fake sites, peoples are really frustrated. Spending 1$ isn’t a big thing, but maybe they are afraid to take the action, why? because they think it would be a waste of time. As we have seen that many companies comes up with make money faster sites & and they end up by taking peoples precious time & money. I think online business is much better, but there are more chances of cheats, which stops peoples to take action these days.

Hi Debbie, that might be a reason for not taking action.
However I think that is the easy way out for most people… claiming that what they have tried before didn’t work because it was “fake” or “a scam”. I think the problem is “people” and not “programs” 95% of the time.
But it is easier to blame “programs” for your failure that to blame yourself for not following through and doing what it takes.

Hi Mikael,
That’s very true and your post certainly makes people realize it’s about time they start taking action instead of deliberating too much. I have to admit I am guilty of that too especially if taking action means parting with some money, although most products now have full refund policy.
Well I certainly took some action last week when I went ahead with my first micro niche website

That is awesome Peter. (BTW great to see you here).
Taking action does not have to mean that you part with money as you can get free programs that will help you make money as well. Taking action is more a “shift in mentality”. About going from “I would like to” to “I am going to”.
And it sounds like you are on the “going to” path. Congratulations!

Well for all you know, the people who didn’t buy the membership could have left and made a few changes to their ads, changed some keywords etc. I wouldn’t say those people weren’t taking action…they just weren’t taking the sort of action you suggested.
I looked at the site but haven’t even been accepted for Google Adsense yet. I applied Friday.

Hi Brianna, that is very true but also very unlikely if you know the nature of most online marketers. But yes a selected few might have done a little more than they did the day before.
As I have also tried to say in the two posts I didn’t make this suggestion because of the aff. link but purely because most people make next to nothing online. Here I see a program that can really help them get going. But it is definitely a free choice.
