		<description>Very true words Chris. I think you&#039;re on to something when you combine the fact that you don&#039;t enjoy selling and the fact that you do not master it. I am pretty sure that if you came to master it then you would also find it a lot more enjoyable. Don&#039;t you think?

		<description>I&#039;ve never found any joy in selling. It&#039;s never been a skill that I mastered.  

However I think everyone should know how to sell and also WHEN they are being sold something. That way they can make an informed decision rather than one being heavily influenced by the sales person. There&#039;s a reason that people are usually disappointed that they paid for the &quot;undercoating&quot;.

		<description>I have never either really like selling myself in the traditional form.

But some of the ways I&#039;ve seen &quot;selling&quot; done whilest trying to develop my wife&#039;s bussines online, has made me almost come to love selling.

I write &quot;selling&quot; because it dosen&#039;t seem like selling in the traditionel way, but more like a conversation like sire said, where the object of money is not brought up by the person having something for sale but by the prospect itself.

I have sometimes been in a situation where I wish they would just let me hear the price and let me know where the salespage is, because I want the product so bad.
That is the kind of selling i like and study more of.

The best way was to approach them in a friendly manner and to try and engage a conversation, through which you would try to establish exactly what they were looking for and then try to fulfill their needs. Most of the salesmen around me used to BS and try and force a sale and while they did better than I, my customers were happier and less likely to return a product. I was also able to sleep at night.

Although I do not typically enjoy the process of selling myself, at least with respect to selling in the traditional form, I am certainly inclined to agree with your comments with regard to the importance of selling.

Like it or not, we are all involved in some form of sales related activity, even those of us who work in a capacity outside of a traditional sales role. 

Every employee, for instance, sells his or her labor to his or her employer. And business owners and entrepreneurs as well, must not only sell prospective clientele on the value of their offering, but must also sell investors and lenders with regards to the capacity of their firm to deliver an acceptable rate of return from an investment perspective.
